The Splash & Dash event is now a fundraiser for Mike Lebrun and his family! Mike, a member of the Farmland community, was seriously injured in a bike accident earlier this summer. These funds will go to the family to help with wheelchair modifications for their house and car as well as other unexpected costs. PLEASE COME SUPPORT!!! Swim, run, du-both, relay, or volunteer – and definitely donate! Spread the news! The prices below are just suggested minimums for participation.
Sunday, August 25th at the Old Farm Pool:
- 9 AM Adults will swim 350M and run a 5K on neighborhood sidewalks and trails ($15 suggested minimum donation).
- 10 AM Kids between 7 & 15 are welcome to participate at the following distances ($10 suggested minimum donation):
- 7-10 year olds: 100M swim, 1K (.62 mile) run
- 11-15 year olds: 200M yard swim, 2K (1.24 mile) run
Athletes will be grouped in waves based on age and all races will start and finish at the Old Farm Pool. Registration and Waiver forms will be available at the pool and on race day but please sign up here so we now how many people to expect and can plan accordingly:

End of the School Year Celebration at Tilden Woods
Friday, June 14 from 2:00 to 4:00
School’s out, so head to Tilden Woods Pool for an afternoon of fun and friends. There will be a moonbounce, snow cones, and of course, their lovely pool. Old Farm kids (middle-school age and younger) are welcome to join this fun event as a special “swap afternoon”.
Adult volunteers are needed to help supervise the moonbounce and man the snow cone machine. Please contact Beth Blake at firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer or with any questions.
Old Farm Swim and Dive Teams Season Opening Potluck Dinner

This Friday night at Old Farm Pool from 6:30-8:00pm the Swim and Dive Teams will be holding their Season Opening Potluck Dinner. We hope to see all you swimmers and divers there! Signups are different this year…just click on the Signup Genius link, read the instructions and commit to bringing something on the list that will feed between 10-12 people. The team is providing lemonade and dessert.

Mark your calendars now for Old Farm’s annual Kids Luau! This annual event is always a blast for the kids. There will be lots of fun music, dancing and great fun in the pool. Pizza, chips and a drink will be included in the ticket price. Look for more details to come soon!
Old Farm Swim and Dive Teams! Little Eagles through 15-18s!
This Friday night from 6:30-8:00pm we are hoping you will join us for our annual Season Opening Poluck Dinner! We are thrilled that between both the Dive Team and the Swim Team, we have close to 150 athletes on our teams. Let’s start the season off sharing some food and fun together!

DIVE TEAM: New this year, all meets will begin at 4 pm rather than 5 pm. The idea is to keep daylight hours and complete meets on the same calendar day– avoiding coming back the next day. Also, starting earlier may avoid the rain storms that tend to roll in at that time.
We will have 3 home meets at Old Farm this year! Volunteers will be needed for setting up and concessions. Stay posted! We are seeded 5th (of 5) in Division 2 and hope to keep or move up with some hard work. This will be a great year.
The dates for the meets are always on the MCDL website, but just to alert you prior to looking (and remind you of how nice summer is!) the dates for the meets are 4 pm and as follows:
- June 9, Pre-Meet for rookies (1 PM at Ashton)
- June 16 (@ Flower Valley) 30 (@ Seven Locks)
- June 23 (@OLD FARM) VOLUNTEERS WILL BE NEEDED
- June 30 (@ Seven Locks)
- July 7 (@ OLD FARM) VOLUNTEERS WILL BE NEEDED

- July 19 (Robin Hood Meet Invitational)
- July 21 is Divisionals (8 AM, location TBD).
- July 24 (12-and-under, location TBD) and July 26 (age 13 – 18, @ Manor Woods) are All Stars (3 PM start).

- $5 per person or $20 per family of 5 or more people (pay at the door)
- Red, Hot and Blue BBQ (chicken only) and cold drinks
What to bring:
- Families A-E: Salads (green salad, cole slaw, broccoli salad, etc)
- Families F-K: Pasta (baked ziti, mac and cheese, plain or buttered pasta, etc)
- Families L-Q: Fruit (fruit salad, fruit platter, sliced watermelon, etc)
- Families R-Z: Dessert (cookies, cupcakes, brownies, etc)
Please bring enough food for 10-12 people and supply serving utensils for your dish.
Volunteers: We always need volunteers to make the banquet run smoothly. Please let us know if you can help with:
Set up: 4:30-6:00 pm

Celebrate the end of swim season and kick off the Olympics like a champion! Kids ages 7-15 can join us at the Old Farm Pool for a swim and run aquathlon event! See just how fast you can swim and run – and everyone gets a finisher’s ribbon!
- July 28th – arrive at 8am for final registration payment, documents, and body marking. NOTE: A parent must be present for registration.
- $15 for OFP members
- $20 for non-members and guests
