Here is some inspiration. Bookmark this page for that miserable early February morning when you’ve had enough of winter.

Please sign-up for what you can bring!
- When: October 11th (6pm until the brautwurst is gone)
- Where: Old Farm Pool (enter through the side gate)

See you there!
Yesterday marked the official end of the 2014 swim season at Old Farm Pool and the celebration of our 50th season. The weather was perfect and we had lots of people enjoying one last day at the pool, culminating with the annual doggy dip and stacking of the deck furniture. Thanks to all who helped.
Just a reminder that if you are interested in becoming more involved with the pool and becoming a member of the Board of Directors, please let us know by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your Board of Directors still has lots to do this season as they wrap up operations for 2014 and start thinking about 2015. Not only that, don’t forget about Paddle Tennis and Pickleball that will start in the late fall.
If you have thoughts or ideas, please let us know.
Looking forward to hearing from you and have a safe autumn and rest of the year.
It’s hard to believe, but the pool season is coming to a close. The kids are all back in school now and before you know it, the leaves will be turning soon too. But let’s not focus on that for the moment. Instead, let’s focus on the last great event we’ll be having at the pool.
A week from today (Sunday September 7th) we will be having our last day in the pool and festivities, including the “world famous” Old Farm Pool Doggie Dip. So, without any further adieu, here is the schedule for Sunday:
1:00 Light Concessions
3:30 – 6:30 Rocklands Food Truck
6:00 – Everyone out of the pool
6:00- Doggie Dip (we will have some doggie treats)
6:45 – Clean up starts!
And as a reminder, this is the last event of the season. While we were contemplating a Saturday evening adult party, we’ve elected to have an event for everyone during the day Sunday instead.
As the 2014 pool season draws to a close, just a reminder that you need to check the lost and found basket located near the front door of the pool building. After the pool officially closes for the season, any towels remaining will be donated to an animal shelter and any other items will be thrown away.
We have enjoyed a great summer and it’s hard to believe that the 2014 swim season is coming to an end. With the opening of Montgomery County schools, we are modifying our schedule to account for many of our kids going back to school this week, so please mark your calendars to show the following schedule of pool hours:
- Monday August 25 – Thursday August 28 – 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
- Friday August 29 – 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm
- Saturday August 30 – Sunday August 31 – 11:00 – 10:00 pm
- Monday September 1 (Labor Day) – 11:00 am – 8:00 pm
- Tuesday Sept 2 – Friday Sept 5th – Pool Closed
- Saturday Sept 6th – Adult End of Season Party – 7:00 pm – 11:00 pm
- Sunday Sept 7th
- 1:00 Light Concessions
- 3:30 – 6:30 Rocklands Food Truck
- 6:00 – Everyone out of the pool
- 6:00- Doggie Dip (we will have some doggie treats)
- 6:45 – Clean up starts!
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the pool!
Wet Yet? Water Aerobics will offer a class to Old Farm members this coming Saturday, August 9th at 10:45am at the pool. There will be a $10 fee to participate in the class. This is a great way to try out water aerobics and see if you would like to participate next season!
Classes are held in water that is chest-deep and provide a low impact but challenging cardiovascular workout. Participants will exercise to music and perform a variety of motions including water walking and running, abdominal work and toning exercises. This class is designed to burn fat and increase cardiovascular fitness, range of motion and muscle tone.
Please make all checks payable to “Old Farm Swim Club” and bring to the pool the morning of the 9th. Please contact Suzanne Stack with any questions:email@example.com
This Saturday, will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the pool. Beginning at 3pm we will have all kinds of fun stuff going on — from a moon bounce to games and treats. Rocklands food truck will be at the pool from 5-8pm too. But wait, there’s more…
It wouldn’t be a trip down memory lane without music from the era. We will start with music from the 60s, covering each subsequent decade each hour. Then around 9pm we will be doing our annual movie night on the deck.
The day will be open to the community, however we are asking non-members for a flat $20 per family to cover additional costs. Of course no charge for Old Farm Pool members. Be sure and RSVP that you’re coming and tell your Facebook friends on our event page.
See you on the 26th!
This Saturday, we are hosting all six teams in our Division for the final meet of the year. As you might imagine, we are going to have a lot of folks at the pool. As a result we anticipate the pool not opening for general use until after 1pm. Thanks for your understanding and best of luck to our swim team!
