We have received word from our neighbors at Faith United Methodist Church that groups of youths have been congregating in the outdoor chapel on the church’s property, which is just down the stairs at the back of the pool’s parking lot. At night, church members have found the youths drinking alcohol and smoking, and sometimes the youths leave bottles, cans, and other litter in their wake.
We share the church’s concern about unattended youths congregating at night. We also are concerned about the mess that they leave behind. Parents, please talk to your children about respecting the church’s (and the pool’s) property. We also encourage anyone witnessing these activities to immediately report the behavior to the Montgomery County Police Non-Emergency line, which is 301-279-8000. No one should be congregating on the church’s or the pool’s property after operating hours, so if you see cars in our parking lot at night, please call.

On Friday evening, a young boy entered the men’s bathroom (with his mother’s permission) to shower and change clothes. While he was showering, a group of other children laughed at the young boy while pointing at his private parts. The incident was very disturbing to the young boy and his mother.
Obviously, we will not tolerate this sort of harassment at Old Farm. Please talk to your children about how to be respectful of others while using the locker room facilities. Anyone witnessing this type of bullying or harassment should immediately report the behavior to the manager on duty.
