A friendly reminder about using your membership cards

Jun 6, 2017   //   by President   //   General Announcements (pool closings, events), News  //  No Comments

This is just a friendly reminder to bring your membership cards and to use them every time you enter Old Farm Pool.  Scanning your card is the fastest way to check in. Membership cards continue to work from year-to-year, so last year’s cards should work fine if you renewed your membership. Nevertheless, if your card is not working properly, or if you are missing membership cards, please let the desk attendant know, and we will produce new cards for you. Also, if you are a new member or you have previously requested membership cards, please inquire with the desk attendant about whether your cards are ready.  Thank you for your cooperation.

A note about lane usage during Swim Team practice

Jun 2, 2017   //   by President   //   General Announcements (pool closings, events), News, Swim Team  //  No Comments

Due to the unexpectedly large number of swimmers this year on the Old Farm Swim Team, our coaches will be using 5 lanes of the pool between 5:30 and 6:15 pm (45 minutes) each weekday evening until the end of the MCPS school year, which is June 16. Note that 15 of those 45 minutes occur during adult swim. After June 16, the team will begin holding additional morning practices, so we expect a normal afternoon usage pattern will develop at that time. We regret any inconvenience, and we will explore alternative arrangements for next year to avoid this arrangement. Thank you.

FINS Swimming is thrilled to be coaching at Old Farm Pool for our 5th summer!

May 31, 2017   //   by oldfarmpool   //   General Announcements (pool closings, events), News  //  No Comments

Over these past few years, it’s been a joy to watch the Old Farm team grow in size, spirit, skill, and all around fun.  We are excited to be getting another summer underway and to watch the continued progress and development of an absolutely amazing community team!

We would like to share information on our FINS Summer Programs & Lessons that will be taking place this summer at Old Farm – these are in addition to normal swim team activities/practices.  These are programs that swim team members and non-swim team-members alike can access throughout the summer. Additionally, non-members at Old Farm can also access these programs (in case you have family friends who are not members but may be in town for a bit of swimming!).

All Old Farm members can access these programs at a 15% discount!

Please take a look at this flyer and let us know if you have any questions whatsoever.

All questions can go to: summer@finsswimming.com
