Many members have expressed interest in holding an over-21 end of the summer event. Last year, we had the Endless Summer Luau and it was really fun. We would like to do something similar this year but need some help. The tentative date is August 25, 7 – 11.
Take a look at the tasks on the attached Sign-Up Genius. None of the items are too time-consuming and I hope we can fill all the buckets so no one person is overburdened. Sign up for something that fits into your schedule. We appreciate all volunteers! And, you can have a great time with a few of your neighbors, to boot!

I have attached a Sign-Up Genius with the tasks we need to accomplish to put on a great Back to School Bash for the kids. The date is currently Thursday, August 30, 6:30 – 9:00. I have broken the project down into bite-sized pieces so that no one person is overburdened. Take a look and sign up for something that fits into your schedule. We appreciate all volunteers! And, you can have a great time with a few of your neighbors, to boot!

We would like to offer three events for the end of the summer, one for the Kids, one for the Over-21 set and one for families. We need a couple of new volunteers to help. Would you consider assisting with one of the three events? Here are the tentative dates:
Saturday, August 25, 7 – 11, The Endless Summer Pool Party
Thursday, August 30, 6:30 – 9: Back to School Bash
Saturday, September 2, dark: Movie Under the Stars
Some plans have already been made and there are a couple of people who are already working on the events. The requirements are a few phone calls, a trip to Costco and being present at the event.
Our pool runs on volunteers, particularly the social events. With several people working each event, the work is not cumbersome. Please consider helping in a small way so we can hold these events.
Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are willing!
Hi Eagles! To commemorate the swim team’s incredible 5-0 season and Divisionals win, Jakob has designed a 2018 Old Farm T-shirt. The shirt has text on both the front and back and comes in navy blue (you can see the t-shirt at the Custom Ink link below). Each shirt costs $17.50 (plus.49 processing fee) for a total of $17.99. If there are any profits, they will go to the Old Farm Swim Team. All shirts will be delivered to Jakob who will distribute them. If we don’t get 24 or more shirts ordered, we will have to cancel the order, and your money will be refunded!
Please order this awesome t-shirt to remember this fantastic season by Sunday, August 5!
Hi, Old Farmers,
Take a look at the “Staff” bulletin board over the water fountain when you are at the pool. The list of the pool manager, pool operators, guards and desk attendants with quite a few of their pictures are posted. The staff list is also posted on the front bulletin board. If you get the opportunity, introduce yourself and say hello! Don’t hesitate to ask them any questions or offer suggestions. They have been asked to forward all comments to the Pool Board.
The Lost ‘n Found is chock-full of beautiful beach towels and other toys. We really cannot store them for much longer. We will clear the items out and donate whatever we have left this Friday, July 13. Help us out by taking a closer look this week and taking your stuff home.
Thank you so much for another wonderful Fourth of July party at the pool, Deedee and Chris Lofft. Your energy and spirit are what makes Old Farm a great place to be on this special day. Thank you, also, for the on-going excellent work of Lynne Agoston for ordering up two food trucks for our celebration. You have really worked tirelessly to provide the membership with delicious options NOT to cook this summer!
We will have four food trucks this week.
Tuesday, July 3, 4:30 – 7:00, Say Cheese
Wednesday, the Fourth of July, 11:00 – 2:00 BOTH Hardy’s BBQ and Honeybee’s
Friday, July 6, 5:00 – 8:00, Tasty Grill to Go
Thank you, thank you to Scott and Mary Jo Speier for organizing and supplying our members with a wonderful dinner, great wines and beers and a great night. We are so appreciative of the Speiers for more than 10 years of Wine and Cheese parties as well as Craig Konikoff, Richard Forrest, Kristen Mirsky and Jen Chaney (for the great selection of 70’s music). It was a great night and the costumes were on point. I especially enjoyed the “Vote Nixon” original pin, the necklace of a certain popular plant and the high heeled men’s shoes. Pictures to be posted soon…..
