Full On Summer!!!

It has been another summer week of fun at Old Farm Pool, with a very successful School’s Out Party last weekend, an away A meet at Kentlands (in which the Old Farm Eagles were victorious!), and a partially rained-out B meet on Wednesday. Have we mentioned the food trucks?  

Please note that the pool will open Saturday 6/25/22 at 12:30 due to a home swim meet, and don’t be surprised if the Swim & Dive Team First Annual REGATTA is trying to finish up – we just don’t know how long it will take these cardboard boats to make it across the pool!!!  (that is, IF they make it across the pool… feel free to come watch the show/disaster unfold!)

  • Food Trucks:

  • Swim Team 

    • A meet, Saturday, 6/25  8:00 AM – Noon against Chevy Chase Recreational Association at Old Farm (HOME)

    • B meet, Wednesday 6/29 – 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Montgomery Square

  • Dive Team

    • Practices are daily during weekdays, 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM (no worries if you are participating in swim practices, there is time for both)

    •  Upcoming meets:

      • Sunday 6/26 HOME meet against Little Falls

  • Pickleball

    • As promised, a second youth intro to pickleball class is scheduled for Saturday July 9th (1:00 – 3:00 PM) at the lower courts. First 16 who sign up with name & age

  • HUGE THANK YOU – School’s Out Party

    • For the five or six pool members who were not actually at the pool for the School’s Out Party, let me just tell you, it was awesome

      • Food, music, Italian Ice, kids roaming around in terrorizing packs (well, not really terrorizing, but they were certainly roaming around in packs)

    • A big thank you to the organizers:  Maureen Hennemuth and Samantha Miller, with the ever-present board member Elizabeth Riel providing wisdom and knowledge.

    • And, the party sponsors, Weaver Eckel Team of Compass and Paisano’s Pizza

Reminders about some administrative stuff:

  • Want to reserve a space at the pool for a party?  Visit our Party Reservations page

  • We have just a small number of lockers left, which are great for keeping the everyday pool items.  Rent a locker for $50 for the whole season.  

  • Normal summer hours:

    • Sun-Thu 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

    • Fri-Sat 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM

  • Lap swimming – we typically have three lap lanes open on weekdays and two on weekends

    • During swim practice on weekdays from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, there will be at least one lap lane available

  • Please make sure you check in at the front desk

  • All guests need to be checked in, with names provided to the desk attendant
