Welcome to the new season of the OLD FARM EAGLES Dive Team! The MCDL was restructured this year to accommodate the addition of new teams. We are excited to be competing this season as the top ranked team in Division III.
Registration fee is $200 per diver. This includes the $20 MCDL insurance fee. Payment can be made by bringing cash or check to your first practice or by clicking the Dive Team Payment link on the pool website.

The team offers a great opportunity for children to learn new skills, experience the excitement of competitive diving, bond with other kids in the community, and above all HAVE FUN!!
No dive experience necessary! If you can swim the length of the pool, jump off the diving board you can make it! Any pool member between the ages of 5 and 18 who has successfully completed the swim test required by our pool operator can join the Dive Team. Children of all ability levels are welcome, no prior diving experience is required. We look forward to seeing you at the diving well this summer!
Monday-Friday, 5:30-6:30 and 6:30-7:30 (one hour per diver) starting the day after Memorial Day (Tuesday).
Coaches help athletes gain strength and confidence in a safe environment while having fun along the way. Divers will develop their skills in proper technique, as they progress through various dives at their own pace.
In 2025 we also offered daytime practices on certain days of the week. We hope to do so again this year, most likely Wednesdays at 10:30am. If your diver is also on swim team and practices conflict, they can join dive practice in the times that work for them. Get in touch with us to discuss the details.
Meets begin at 4pm Sundays and typically last 2-2.5 hours. Please plan to stay for the whole meet. For away meets, we meet at Old Farm Pool at 2:00pm to warm up, and drive over to the host pool at 3:00. For *home meets, we meet at Old Farm Pool at 2:30pm for setup and warmup.

MCDL dive meets require every family to provide a parent volunteer for all meets that their diver attends. Most jobs can be quickly mastered by a rookie! We will provide a volunteer training for parents early in the season.
One parent from each family must take the MCDL-sponsored training for Judges and Referees. If this presents a hardship for your family, please discuss with the team representatives.
Dive meet scores, records and other resources can be found at MCDL website.

Katie has served as our head coach since 2017, with great results! We have moved up TWO divisions during her time with us. During the fall, winter, and spring seasons, Katie can also found coaching for Montgomery Dive Club.
Previously, Katie coached at Old Georgetown Swim and Tennis Club, where she achieved success as both a diver and a coach. She was a perennial All-Star for Old Georgetown during her diving days, and coached them to a second place finish in MCDL’s highly competitive Division I in 2016. Katie also competed as a member of Montgomery Dive Club’s National Team and Walter Johnson High School’s dive team (Captain) until her graduation in 2014.
This is Maggie’s 6th season as a beloved Assistant Coach. Maggie excels at building relationships with each diver and challenging them in the ways that work for them. She is passionate about diving and warmly encourages divers to keep trying new skills. Maggie also leads our spirit committee, planning Fun Friday events and keeping our team spirit up!
After 11 years as an Old Farm diver, Colin is now passing his knowledge on to new divers as an Assistant Coach. Colin trained year round with Montgomery Dive Club in 2023 and 2024, and was a member of their 2024 Junior Olympic team. Colin enjoys sharing how diving has helped him manage his ADHD, and especially loves encouraging other neurodivergent divers. Colin can often be found challenging the team to a planking contest on deck.
As an accomplished gymnast, Lina brings her tremendous skill and training to her role as Assistant Coach. In the off season, she can be found serving as Team Captain of the Walter Johnson Dive Team.
After many years as one of the most dedicated divers on our team, Olivia Ombrello joins the coaching staff in 2026. In addition to coaching, Olivia is the queen of team spirit. She can always be found cheering on her teammates and encouraging others to do the same.
Assistant Coaching is an opportunity for experienced Old Farm divers to teach younger divers the fundamentals of diving. In addition to being dedicated members of our team, our Assistant Coaches have received training from Montgomery Dive Club and other year-round diving programs. Contact OldFarmDive@gmail.com for an application.
Try diving for the first time, work on a new dive, or brush up on your skills! Head Coach Katie Young will be on deck to coach divers of all levels. This event is open to all members of Old Farm Pool and is a great way to try the sport of diving before next season.
