Scavenger Hunt
Get ready to test your wit, agility, and humor at the Old Farm Pool Scavenger Hunt! Whether you are here for glory, an excuse to drop a cheesy joke, or just looking to splash around, we have a spot for you.
Event Timing & Entry Info
- Starts: Saturday, July 25th, 2026
- Who Can Play: Open to individuals, families, or full teams – any age as long as they can meet the “Tech Requirements” (insert ominous music here).
- Competitive Bracket (2:00 PM – 3:00 PM): Show up between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM to receive your official start time and personalized QR code.
- Casual Bracket (After 3:00 PM): Arrive after 3:00 PM to scan the public QR code. You can take as long as you want (even forever) to finish.
- How long will this take? Well, that’s a tough one. Depends on many factors, but let’s assume you are Albert Einstein’s brain in Usain Bolt’s body: I would say about 7 minutes. For the rest of you, 30 – 90 minutes, and for some of you… the pool closes on Labor Day.
Tech & Gear Requirements
- Digital Clues Only: All clues are 100% digital. You will need a charged smartphone or tablet to play.
- Camera Operator Status: At least one person on your team must know how to operate the camera and upload photos on the fly.

- Problems? If you can’t figure out how to upload a picture, then you can send it to membership@oldfarmpool.org (note, a luddite penalty will be applied)
Pre-Event Homework (Best Done Before You Arrive!)
Before stepping foot on the deck, your team should prepare the following four items:
- A Clever Team Name (to intimidate the competition).
- A Boring Team Name (in case your clever one fails).
- A Team Motto (something to chant dramatically).
- A Family-Friendly Joke (clean enough for the lifeguards to laugh at).
Choose Your Difficulty Level
We have two distinct tracks available:
- The Full / Hard Version: Built for serious clue-cracking strategists.
- The Easy / Kid-Friendly Version: Perfect for younger hunters—and highly recommended for adults who get confused by basic instructions or need a gentle warm-up. No judgment here!

Clue Secrecy (And Sabotage)
- Keep It Secret: Do NOT share clues with anyone outside your team…
- Unless… you are intentionally giving them the completely wrong answer to throw them off the scent. Strategic misdirection is encouraged!

Boundaries & Splash Warnings
- Exploration Area: You will be exploring most areas across the Old Farm Pool property.
- Wet Guarantee: If you complete all the clues, you will get wet! Plan your gear accordingly.
Crucial Safety Rules
- No Running: No running on the pool deck under any circumstances.
- No Glass: Absolutely no glass items allowed anywhere in the pool area.
- Street Safety: Watch for cars IF your hunt requires you to step outside the pool area!
- Water = Bad for Electronics: keep your electronics safe, and be aware of splashing water when taking photos.
- Photos: Photos should only be of your team, the target of the clue, or a certain target that gives permission to have a photo taken.
Grab your phone, pick your course level, gather your squad, prepare your joke, and come ready to scan, search, and splash!
